”Art is where my heart is, cant think of living a day in my life without painting. I have been painting since my childhood, lack of any qualifications or degree from any art college has not been an impediment in my career as an artist. I am fully self taught artist and am fiercely proud of it. Nature is my muse, I am attached to nature. Hence, you will find its presence in most of my works. I am fascinated with facets of nature in all its forms. Earth, Sky, Water, Twisted trunks, jagged rocks, they all attract me from time to time. Of late rain soaked wet platforms of Indian railways have become my latest obsession. I am living and talking and thinking wet platforms all the time, painting for me is the ultimate form of self expression and I believe in expressing myself in a way that could equally touch the heart of a banker sitting in a corporate building to that of a paanwala selling his wares on a road side kiosk. Paintings need not be too esoteric or too abstract to go above a common man nor it should be like a calendar either. A good painting ought to be like a fine poetry or a story or a song. That hunt you long after you have read it or heard it.”
