Born in 1960 in Chamaliéres (France), François Lassere is a self-taught artist, and although he practices different artistic techniques with equal ease, he is fortunately an atypical artist who works beyond fashions. Thus, he created a kind of pictorial movement that he called “oppositionism”.
He has long since transformed his studios into a research laboratory. In 2003, he fell victim to artistic bulimia, triggering intense creative disorders characterised by repetitive and lasting ingestions of excessive ideas. François Lassere has a worldwide reputation, he is a Gold Medalist of the Academy of Rome and since 2020 he is a fellow of the Taylor Foundation in Paris.
