When I was 10 years old, I represented my school at the First Children Art Festival in Guayaquil, and at the same age I start writing poetry. Even though I did not win the art contest, this event marked the beginning of my dream to become a professional artist. At the age of 16 I won a poetry contest at my high school which also ratified my decision to dedicate my life to art. Marlina Vera
