Paintings by Miroslav Yotov

Miroslav Stefanov Yotov was born on July 26, 1977 in Isperih (Bulgaria). He completed his secondary education with a degree in graphic design in Razgrad. In 2000 he graduated from the University of Shumen with a degree in pedagogy of fine arts.

He has participated in several student exhibitions. He started painting in 2005. In the same year he won a sculptural award at a plein air in Shumen. His first solo exhibition was in 2006. Due to the increased interest in his works since 2005, he is mainly engaged in custom oil painting and sculpture.

His style is unique – because of its Bulgarian accent and emotion, the brush strokes are well articulated and on occasions lustful, as if he is trying to seduce the viewer. This particular idiosyncrasy has won him accolades and admiration from his peers, critics and connoisseurs.
