Safia Bollini is a painter born in 1966 in Sézanne (France), currently living in Royan (France). Her influences are multiple. From a French mother and a Moroccan father, Safia inherits two cultures; already the search for a balance from the contrasts emerges.

She approaches body language and sensuality by using chiaroscuro and the purity of white. From the chiaroscuro, the bodies are revealed, the hands express themselves. Strength and softness unite and reveal the colour.

Abstract painting imposes itself on her. The paintings spring as much from the intellect as from the unconscious where transcendence becomes a liberating guide. Always this search for balance between opposites. Fascinated by curves, she offers them a place of choice. From chaos comes unity, beauty, refinement and Safia adds “Our paths of life have their curves”.

Her suggestive works charm us. To love the human being and this energetic and sensitive fluid which submerges the spirit, it is perhaps not a coincidence when one is called Safia which means limpid and pure.
