Vijender Sharma is an Indian painter who was born in Delhi in 1962. Fantasies, mythical characters and sacred epics have always been a part of his inspiration. His surrealist artworks depicting a striking and expressive scenario are like a sheer veil between the human reality and spiritual fantasy.
He received his formal education in the M.F.A. (Painting) with Distinction in 1990 from College of Art, New Delhi. He has conducted a number of solo Exhibitions since 1989 and has participated in innumerable Group shows.
He has contributed paintings for B.R. Chopra’s ‘Mahabharata’; Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayana’ & ‘Vikram aur Vaital’ and has done several group shows and solo shows in several countries. Vijender has received monumental awards such as being named Artist of the Year by the President of India. His artworks are a part of several private collections all across India and abroad.
