Erotic art
Erotic art is a type of visual art that aims to stimulate erotic feelings. It has been present throughout history, from the explicit frescoes of Pompeii to the works of artists in India, China, and Japan. Erotica is derived from the Greek word “eros” meaning sexual or passionate love, and historically, eroticism was often linked with spirituality. Although the definition of erotic art can vary depending on cultural and personal beliefs, it generally includes painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, prints, and other forms of art that have an aesthetic purpose.
