Michel Ogier was born on the 19th December in St Etienne in France, 1960. He is a magician of colour and light, he questions because his imaginary world is creative. Lucid about existence, he questions because his reflection allows us to glimpse a truth that is as luminous as it is unbearable: the human condition!

Self-taught, he learned the technique of oil painting with the treatise of Xavier de Langlais. For more than fifteen years he painted without showing, without exhibiting anything. “To tell the truth, I didn’t even think about it. I simply wanted to pursue my quest in the silence and isolation that I needed. I was painting for myself, to survive! I didn’t see any egoism in that, I was always surprised that my world could arouse interest and emotion.
