Aja Trier painting

AJA TRIER

Aja Trier is a contemporary artist from the USA who evokes memories of Vincent Van Gogh in her own style. '' Although I've been painting since my age was measured in months (my mom, a toll painter, would give me scraps of wood from her projects, a cup of water, and a brush for me to "paint" with....) I really became serious with it in '99 during my last years of high school. Resigned to my profession I was accepted to Montserrat College of Art on scholarship and concentrated on painting.'' - Aja Trier

Val Escoubet painting

VAL ESCOUBET

After having exploited the theme of landscape for a long time, Val ESCOUBET has distinguished herself for ten years in the art of portraiture, in a figurative style, rather hyper-realistic. The artist seeks to highlight a posture, an emotion, which she captures in the daily life of women, men and children. Most of the time, her characters are painted in shades of black and white to mark the contrast with very colorful backgrounds. She does not hesitate to use several techniques for the same work; oil painting, which she loves more than anything for the characters, acrylic, ink and collage for the backgrounds. Her artistic affinities are varied and eclectic, but Val ESCOUBET draws most of her inspiration from Street-art and fashion illustration.

Until 1975 he found his own poetic sensibility, fueled by the magical realism of literature and portraiture. Alex Alemany does not teach at any institution, he is not an official, he does not show up for competitions or contests. He makes a living in his craft, which dominates in the best sense of the term, and from which he makes a profit that facilitates his existence.
